These are made of sapele - a mahogany substitute that you more often find veneered
onto doors. It also makes very presentable columns. The pink stuff in "Good and Bad
columns" is sapele and so are the three columns in the opening screen. These were sent to Slovenia for a new Lodge of Hospitality, along with quite a few other items. They have my own hand-turned and painted globes and so cost £270. |
